ROPECRAFT
Event Space Rules
All ROPECRAFT attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
A current, valid picture ID must be presented at registration.
Do not discuss activities with non-participants without the prior consent of all involved. The space is governed by the “Responsible Adult Photography Policy”, which treats personal cel-phone photography the same as any other kink, and involving someone in a picture without their consent will be grounds for expulsion from the event. All activities at ROPECRAFT are to be considered confidential.
Official ROPECRAFT photographers are identifiable by glowing badges that say “Staff”
and will only take photos of attendees who have opted in to the photography and have indicated so by the blue photography ribbon on their badge.
NO VIDEO OR SOUND RECORDING IS ALLOWED
except by previously designated ROPECRAFT staff .
Attendees must display their own badge at all times
while in the ROPECRAFT event space. Failure to have the badge will result in expulsion from the space. The Director and the Producer of ROPECRAFT retain the right to remove any attendee at any time due to behavior deleterious to the event or its attendees.
EVENT SPACE GUIDELINES:
ROPECRAFT attendees must be in street-legal clothing (genitals and nipples covered) at all times while outside of secured ROPECRAFT areas and also on the staircase or in the hallways of the second-floor areas. This includes ANY public area of the hotel, including the pool. In the Vendor Bazaar or classroom spaces any attire (or none) is allowed.
All activities that are illegal within this jurisdiction are likewise prohibited in any ROPECRAFT space. Failure to abide by the laws may result in notification of law enforcement in order to ensure the safety of attendees.
CONSENT & HARASSMENT POLICY:
ROPECRAFT is designed to promote a safe and fun experience for all attendees. What follows is a summary of the ROPECRAFT Guiding Principles.
All activity should be consensual, both in and out of play, in both actions and language. Harassment of other attendees will absolutely not be tolerated. All attendees and staff are expected to treat others with respect and consideration including but not limited to the following:
Respect the identities of attendees as they are expressed.
Work towards creating non-coercive consent in all interactions.
Be thoughtful and aware of your actions and how they affect those around you. Respect the physical and mental space of scenes or dynamics.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES:
Exceptionally dangerous or messy activities are prohibited from ROPECRAFT event spaces. This includes watersports, scat play, fire play (including candle-based wax play), breath play to the point of unconsciousness, and any play that might splatter blood or other bodily fluids on other attendees. The determination of what constitutes “exceptionally dangerous or messy” is at the DM’s discretion.
Alcoholic beverages, glass containers, or recreational drugs are prohibited inside the play spaces, the practice room, the photo room or anywhere else rope or other risky activities are taking place. The hotel has a bar, and there are hotel rooms available, should you wish to drink socially and responsibly. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the hotel entirely. We do not want to run a “dry” event, but we are running a responsible one.
If your blood alcohol level or other substances would affect the safety of a scene, the comfort of an attendee, or the safety of the group, we will ask you to remove yourself from the area.
All efforts must be made to avoid damage to the Hotel premises. It is the responsibility of the individual attendee to provide and use drop cloths for any play involving blood, saline inflations, or other forms of play that may be messy.
Play scenes are restricted to the classrooms, and playspaces. Refrain from any kind of non-vanilla play including pinching, fondling, spanking, rough body play, humiliation play, fornophilia, or similar activities while in public spaces, the Introvert Corner, or in the Vendor Bazaar. Remember that ROPECRAFT attendees are representative of the kink community, and please be polite and discreet.
Notify a DM (Dungeon Monitor) before any edge play. Examples of edge play include consensual non-consent, blood and needle play, and other scenes where special precautions must be observed for safety reasons. DM’s are responsible for monitoring all play spaces to ensure equipment and attendee safety, and compliance with the ROPECRAFT rules.
In the event of an emergency, the DM’s will direct you to the nearest safe exit, or provide additional instructions. Immediately end all scenes, and prepare to leave the building if necessary. Medical staff and the Consent Rocks Crew will be available to assist as needed.
