Being a person of color who is also kinky can mean being a minority within a minority. Often we are spread so thin at kink conferences that we hardly see each other.
Open to all people of color and their guests, The Kinksters of Color Meet & Greet is a chance to put [scene] names to faces, network, commiserate and feel strength in numbers and is hosted by David Wraith.
Decompress after your morning classes, gear up for your afternoon classes, and stuff your face in a safe and welcoming environment. Rest assured that if anyone tries to bring any sexism, racism, ableism, sizeism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, hateration, or holleration into our sacred circle, it will be dealt with swiftly.
This event is hosted by David Wraith and open to all people who, despite out prejudices, can not be jerks for up to 90 minutes at a time.
This special interest group is a peership meeting space for anyone who is transgender, nonbinary, agender, genderqueer, or other non-cisgender identities. There will be some icebreaker or get-to-know-you games, and discussions about how to do rope ties to emphasize and de-emphasize different body shapes to create a more feminine, masculine, or androgynous appearance. Mostly this will be a safe fun space for our community to gather.
This event is for transgender people including all non-binary folks and is hosted by Benny Vimes.
Anyone interested in learning more about the role of Consent Rocks at ROPECRAFT is invited to come ask questions about the team in general & hopefully receive answers that satisfy their curiosity! Meet some members of the team and learn what they do at ROPECRAFT and other events. If you’re interested, you can even ask how you can learn to do it too!
This Special Interest Group is headed by Iron Temple Dog, head of the Consent.Rocks team at ROPECRAFT Chicago and one of the original developers of this model of supporting consent in kink culture at events.
Stemming from the Chicago Rope Bottoming Roundtable, we would like to offer a similar format at ROPECRAFT. All people who identify as bottoms, or models, are welcome to join in at this open, positive, and safe discussion space. We will likely not have only one topic, but would like to keep the discussion open and flowing, and to answer as many questions as we can.
We’ll have some “tips” for bottoming and our own experiences to share. We cordially invite you to bring yours as well so we can all help each other out!
Who is this for: This Special Interest Group is for all people who identify as models, or rope bottoms!
Who is facilitating: _Jei_ and MedullaOblogata of the Chicago Rope Bottoming Roundtable and -Magnolia- of the soon-to-be-launched Bottom Talk Podcast!
There are a lot of things we talk about in kink, but we don’t often talk about our families. Whether we’re trying to pass in the vanilla world or out to everyone we know and helping run the show with a personal assistant under the age of three, being a kinky parent is a unique situation with a lot of taboo, secrecy and curiosity attached. Come share your journey or listen to others share theirs or ask questions if you’re wondering about how it all works!
This is a support space for folks who happen to be both kinky and parents, and an “Ask Me Anything” for anybody curious about what that looks like. This is not a Littles meetup/space – We mean vanilla parenthood. It is hosted by Internationally Famous Kink Educator Diamond Blue and dusty old book Ozma of Oz by L. Frank Baum.
This is kind of a support group for people currently working as sex educators (whether volunteered or paid). This group is hosted by Graydancer and Naiia and looking for people who have had to work with conventions, venues, groups, etc, to talk about our experiences and strategies for meeting challenges in the future.
Ok, really, it’s a bitchfest. But there will be cookies.
Come on over to the bar for some meeting, drinking*, and greeting with your fellow Hitchin’ Bitches from across the continent! With a full weekend of classes behind you, and the Ropenspace ahead, there will surely be lots to talk about. If you’re a past, present, and future members of Hitchin’ Bitches are welcome to join us!
We request that you respect the ethos of Hitchin’ Bitches and not use this gathering as a pickup space.
* If you are kinky and sober, we hope that you will still join us for socializing. We pledge to be supportive of everyone’s boundaries – no means no, no questions asked.
This special event is hosted by our ROPECRAFT presenter, MrsB.
