Inclusivity and Accessibility at ROPECRAFT
The ROPECRAFT community is brought together by a shared interest in bondage, and spans a wide variety of identities and backgrounds. ROPECRAFT attendees meet at many intersections, including age, ability, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religion.
We believe that promoting positive relations and engaging in best practices towards all members of various groups is integral to facilitating a safe and welcoming kink and fetish environment, and enriches the ROPECRAFT experience for everyone. Our goal is to ensure that everyone who attends has equal access to services, spaces, and activities with the capabilities that we have. We aim to provide a constructive and empathetic framework for reducing and responding to any incidents at ROPECRAFT which involve discrimination or microaggression, whether through oversight or intent. The principles we have built our event around can be found here.
Questions or concerns about inclusivity should be directed by email to [email protected]. Inquiries sent through Fetlife will not be answered.
Accessibility Accommodations for ROPECRAFT Attendees
If you have questions or concerns relating to accessibility of the ROPECRAFT convention or know that you will need specific accommodations in order to attend, we encourage you to contact us at your earliest convenience at [email protected] so that we are aware of your needs and can make arrangements where we can with the resources that we have to accommodate them. Our hotel follows ADA guidelines for service animals present on the property.
If you are an ASL interpreter or other accessibility-related professional who would like to share their talents and attend ROPECRAFT to share those skills as part of our volunteer team, please let us know. Likewise, if you have accessibility resources of other types or are interested in sponsoring this type of work (ex: we are in the market for a small ramp with an adjustable rise before our next Austin event) we would love to have a chance to chat.
We will appreciate you endlessly and thank you as our limited resources permit.
